Designing Digital Advocacy Campaigns for Inclusive Practices in Generative AI in Education — Toolkit + No-Code AI App

Following my presentation at the Cambridge Generative AI in Education Conference, I created a toolkit to support an inclusive, thoughtful digital advocacy campaign, so that young people, educators, institutions, and communities can shape how generative AI is developed and used in education. I created an A no-code AI app (built on AWS PartyRock) that turns the toolkit’s 7-step framework for inclusive GenAI-in-education advocacy into a guided workflow—helping users move from “I’m concerned” to a clear, realistic campaign plan and a first social media post that invites conversation.

What I created

1) A structured toolkit that helps people design advocacy campaigns in seven practical steps, grounded in inclusion from the start—not as an afterthought.
2) A no-code AI companion app (AWS PartyRock) that guides users through the same steps and produces campaign outputs quickly and consistently.
3) Templates and planning resources to support implementation (campaign tracking, social media planning, and project organisation).

Campaign focus areas

The toolkit centres campaigns around three inclusion themes:

  • Access (tools, devices, internet, support)
  • Bias (representation, distortion, missing identities/languages/experiences)
  • AI Literacy (safe, critical, ethical use—and who is being left behind)

How the app supports the toolkit

The app operationalises the toolkit by:

  • guiding users through the whole 7-step sequence so campaigns stay coherent and actionable,
  • structuring inputs into key campaign elements (problem statement, affected groups, audience, platforms, story plan, SMART goal, tracking),
  • generating tangible outputs (plan + first post) to reduce friction between planning and action,
  • reinforcing conversation-based advocacy (listening, participation, accessibility).

Platform/tool

  • Amazon AWS PartyRock (no-code AI app builder)
